“Resistance – They Fought Back” Film Educator Guide
Resistance – They Fought Back is a groundbreaking documentary that tells a heroic tale about the complicated nature of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust. The film is available free of charge to classroom educators, along with access to accompanying guides, augmenting and enhancing current Holocaust units.
“Hour of Need” Graphic Novel Educator Guide
Developed in partnership with Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, Hour of Need: The Daring Escape of the Danish Jews during World War II is a graphic novel that shares the true story of how the people of an occupied nation risked their lives to evacuate their Jewish countrymen. The guide below, developed by the Museum in collaboration with Humanus Network, provides activities, primary sources, and case studies of individual Danes to integrate Hour of Need and the story of Denmark during the Holocaust into your classroom.

Karkomi Holocaust Exhibition: Supplemental Materials for Catholic School Educators
Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center and the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools invite teachers to make use of the following activities and resources as they align their instruction of the Holocaust to the Archdiocese of Chicago Religion Curriculum Priority Standards for Grades PK-8 (2020). We encourage educators to explore these suggested activities to incorporate into their interdisciplinary instruction and implementing them as written or with modifications to meet students’ specific needs. Through these lessons and activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of the human dimension of the Holocaust, while exploring topics through the lens of Catholic faith, tradition, and values.
