Resistance – They Fought Back (length: 97 minutes) is a groundbreaking documentary that tells a heroic tale about the complicated nature of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust. The film is available free of charge to classroom educators, along with access to accompanying guides, augmenting and enhancing current Holocaust units.
The film’s Educator Guides are available in two parts: Discussion & Reflection Questions and Primary Source – Extension Activities. In both, students engage in historical thinking and inquiry. The first guide allows for easy integration of the film into your classroom and focuses on the questions drawn from one’s understanding of the film and its lessons for today. The second guide provides primary source focused activities for those educators who want to extend their students’ engagement with the film and its history further.
