Virtual: Teaching LGBTQ+ Justice in Illinois: Legislation and Advocacy

At a time of unprecedented attacks on the rights of LGBTQ+ people across the country, this workshop will examine the challenges LGBTQ+ people experience in Illinois and how the state continues to advance pro-equality, pro-family policies that support and affirm LGBTQ+ people. Teachers will gain the confidence and the tools to incorporate discussions about LGBTQ+ justice into their classrooms and empower students to engage in advocacy to build a more just and equitable world.
