On-Site Program: Real and Imaginary: A Conversation about Spiritual Resistance
Join Sid. Z. Leiman, PhD, internationally acclaimed scholar of Jewish history and literature, for a candid conversation about spiritual resistance during the Holocaust. Dr. Leiman’s work combines extensive research in Holocaust era documents with personal knowledge of 20th century Eastern European life and sheds light on this fascinating aspect of the Holocaust. Hosted by Rabbi Reuven Brand, Dean of the Midwest Center for Jewish Learning, Dr. Leiman will explore well-known and unexplored extraordinary episodes, separating fact from fiction and appreciating timeless lessons of faith, courage, and humanity.

12:30 pm | Begin docent-led tours of The Girl in the Diary (approx. 45 minutes)
