Online Program: Here and Now – Antisemitism Today

December 19, 2023 | 12:00pm CST

Online

In the month following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel, there was a 388% increase in antisemitic incidents in the US. This alarming explosion of anti-Jewish hate requires each of us to act. But before one can work to combat antisemitism, there must be an understanding of what it is. What does – and does not – qualify as antisemitism? How has anti-Jewish hate transformed throughout history? Join renowned scholar Mark Weitzman, COO of The World Jewish Restitution Organization and senior U.S. delegate to the International Holocaust Remembrance Authority (IHRA), as he explores the roots of antisemitism to its current manifestations.

This program is part of the Museum’s “Understanding & Confronting Anti-Jewish Hate” community series.

Reservations required. Free to the public.

Supported by David P. Brody Charitable Trust.
