On-Site Live Performance: A Diplomat for Humanity – A Concert for Sugihara
Following a sold-out U.S. premiere at Carnegie Hall, hear world-renowned cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper and accompanist Zac Zinger as they perform a musical concert in tribute to Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania who in 1940 risked his life and career to issue over 2,100 visas to help Jews flee war-torn Europe.
After multiple generations, Sugihara is said to have saved tens of thousands of lives, including Kristina’s father-in-law, Irving Rosen. Be sure to join us in honor of Sugihara’s life-saving gift of compassion and unwavering commitment to the belief that one individual’s actions can make a difference.
