For our final Rise Up: Stonewall and the LGBTQ Rights Movement exhibition-related program, join us for an evening of captivating stories focused on LGBTQ+ and civil rights. The program will feature a variety of storytellers taking us on their personal journeys, speaking to the power and value of people sharing their life experiences.

Participants will include:

  • Archy Jamjun, Co-Curator for OUTspoken LGBTQ+ stories at Sidetrack and two-time winner of The Moth Grand Slam in Chicago
  • Jackie Kaplan-Perkins, Senior Advisor for Movement Voter Project
  • Mitch Hagan, Creative Director at a cyber security company and adjunct professor of graphic design at Roosevelt University
  • Todd Michael Kiech, Chicago actor and performer, hand-cut collage artist (Really Gay Collage), and Sidetrack bartender
  • Willa Taylor, Director of Education and Community Engagement at Goodman Theater

Hosted by Art Johnston, Co-Founder of Equality Illinois and activist & leader in Chicago’s growing LGBTQ+ community
