Invasion of Ukraine

Ukraine and Russia share a long and complex history. In this workshop, educators will connect best practices for Holocaust education to the current invasion, the impact of the war on Ukrainians, and the implications for human rights. Educators will also gain resources and strategies to bring into the classroom as well as tips to engage their students in meaningful, informed action on behalf of the Ukrainian people. This session will be co-facilitated by Ukrainian educator Nataliia Nayavko and Kate English, Executive Director, Educators Institute for Human Rights.
