Virtual: Courageous Conversations: Confronting Antisemitism

September 27, 2023 | 3:30pm CST

Online via Zoom

The recent rise of antisemitism in the United States has resulted in a 49% increase in antisemitic incidents in K-12 schools in 2022. Join Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center for an interactive workshop designed specifically for educators and school administrators from all backgrounds and levels of knowledge on the topic. Through videos, images, and discussions, participants will learn about the diversity of Jewish identities and the variety of forms antisemitism has taken, both historical and contemporary. The workshop guides participants through self-reflective activities on identity and implicit/explicit bias, deconstructs antisemitic images that illustrate larger antisemitic tropes, and engages participants in scenario-based problem-solving to recognize and respond to antisemitism in their classrooms and larger school communities.

Workshop Includes:

  • Classroom Resources
  • 1.5 Clock Hours/CPDUs
